{ lush purples } Black Gold Golf Course

I have 4 weddings to blog right now and they are all purple. Harvard Photography was nice enough to send over a disc with 3 weddings( all purple of course) and this is the first one. The pictures are stunning. Purple is a tough color because if it isn't photographed right then it isn't good but these pictures are just so vibrant. This is another of Jenni's weddings so I don't know anything about this couple other than they have great taste in flowers! :)
Today I will be working on the first of three Seven Degrees weddings I am doing in the next month and I am bringing my camera. Check back soon for pictures it is going to be really unique.

This year I was lucky enough to have two great bridal blogger brides. For those of you who have blog all about the wedding planning experience from start to finish and beyond. The most popular bridal blogger of all time is probably thebrokeassbride but she is long married and a new generation of bridal bloggers has emerged throughout the nation. There is a great list of bridal blogger blogs on my bride who I will call "Soon to be Mrs Beever"('s) website. Bridal bloggers are priceless sources of info and Soon to be Mrs. Beever is the queen.
You have got to take a look at her details, her advice is the best from planning, to budgeting to the psychology of it all. I have followed her for over a year and I still notice new details from her wedding with each new post.

{ Jenni, Jenni, Jenni } part 2

So I fiqured since I had two wonderful weddings of Jenni's to share that I would break her greatness into 2 posts. Since Jenni isn't the wedding blog, website, review site obsessed stalker that I am she hasn't seen this wonderful review of her on Project Wedding or the pictures by the always fabulous Jim Kennedy. I just got married on February 27, 2010 and used Flower Allie as my florist. They did such an amazing job. I had met with a few different florists and didn't feel comfortable with any until I met with Jenni Hill at Flower Allie. She was unbelievably creative and asked a ton of questions and delivered EXACTLY what I imagined and dreamed of. I was so calm and happy the morning of the wedding, didn't shed a tear... until Jenni arrived with our bouquets. When I saw my bouquet, I lost it because it was gorgeous. If you choose Flower Allie as your florist, I promise you will not be disappointed. A few of my friends have also used them and had the same experience... PERFECTION! Thank you, Flower Allie and Jenni for making our special day one we will never forget. You are simply the BEST!

{ Jenni, Jenni, Jenni } part 1

After 20 years as the lead consultant at Flower Allie I decided to relinquish a little control about 2 years ago when I met Jenni Hill. This was a huge decision and it was very hard at first to let designs other than mine out the door without any creative input from me. The first few months were the hardest and I think Jenni probably wanted to quit about 20 times. With a lot of hard work and creativity and a wonderful back up team Jenni and I have been able to merge our styles, tastes and ideas and create the best weddings Flower Allie has ever done this year.

Jenni just completed her 100th wedding so to congratulate her I wanted to share with you first my absolute favorite bouquet of all time. when I first saw the picture of this bouquet on The Storykeeper website (they use it on there splash page as a link) I was blown away. It wasn't till a few weeks later when Renee from Storykeeper sent me an email with some pictures that I realized that it had come out of Flower Allie. Jenni had said me "I think I did a really good wedding while you were on vacation", this bouquet is phenomenal in my opinion "really great" is just an average day for Jenni. This cake last October was the first time I ever placed just one single perfect bloom at the side of the cake. Now I have done it so much it has almost become my cake design signature.

I was doing my usual nightly blog stocking when I ran across the JAC photography blog and a wedding we did last fall. This is one of my favorite and most unique arches.

Stephanies fabulous fuschia wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum

I just couldn't wait for the professional pictures to blog this wedding. Scripps Seaside Forum is the most wonderful venue ever! I am sorta biased since I lived on cliff overlooking the ocean about 5 miles away in Del Mar about 15 years ago. I still miss the San Diego coastline every day of my life. I am asked all the time what my favorite venue is and this really is where I would get married if I were to do it today.

Did you notice why I posted so many pictures of the centerpieces. It is because all of the black vessels are unique. And the most unique thing about them is that all those wonderful containers were under 5.00 each. Stephanie and I went to thrift stores and bought up over 60 vases. Wondering how we found so many great vases all under 5.00 and all in black? Check back in a few days for pictures of this wonderful DIY project.

My husband made the boxes for what he called the pumpkin vases. Stephanie's Dad made the benches. We loved them so much that we will have some available to rent very soon.

Susie's wedding at The Fairmont Newport Beach

I love this bouquet so much. I have created almost 3000 bridal bouquets now and this is one of my top 20 all time favorites. It is just full of white and blush fluffy goodness. Love it!

Check out the lighting. Atmosphere Entertainment out did themselves. All the walls had a warm up-lights and there were huge peony images throughout the room. The room just glowed.

Monochromatic green Olympic bouquet

"The Olympic bouquets are a soft, elegant green, with five B.C. grown spider mums in the centre, surrounded by layers of monkey grass, aspidistra leaves and hypericum berries imported from Ecuador."
The 2010 Olympic bouquet resembles a typical bridesmaids bouquet. Not sure if that is good or bad but I like it.

Laura sent me a link to a her November wedding in West Covina a few weeks ago and I have just been to busy to blog. Jenny and I have been busy nearing out goal of 100 weddings for 2010. This week I will meet 13 new brides and do samples for another 6. Then we end our week with a bridal show at Coyote Hills Golf Course on Sunday. So if I owe you an email I haven't forgotten about you I am just swamped.
I absolutely loved working with Laura. She is just an all around wonderful girl next door type of girl with timeless taste. Since I am so busy and without further ado here are the pictures...

For those of you that don't already know this. Yes, The Smog Shoppe really was a smog shop. And it is indescribable in it's uniqueness. If you get a chance to attend a wedding here don't pass it up. For a succulent lover like me it is a dream come true. Leah really followed through on the vibe. Her taste is impeccable as you can see........

I just got the news that my favorite wedding of 2010 - Rachael's wedding at The Jones Victorian Estate is set to be published in the upcoming 2010 Ceremony Magazine - watch for it to come out on newsstands in the next few weeks.
This brought to mind my favorite wedding of 2008. Jennifer and Michaels wedding at Rancho Las Lomas was wonderful on so many levels. Great candle details, wonderful linens, a beautifully set table, adorable favors placed just so. And the colors, these weren't just any colors these were the at the time so not done yet tiffany blue and red. If I do say so my self they were just done so right at this event.

Country chic wedding at The Summit House

One of my favorite places to do wedding flowers in Orange County is the Summit House in Fullerton. I love the versatility of the room and think it is a great background for any style.

This cute, happy, sunshiny, joyful wedding was designed by Jenni and it is just so her style. From the cute little buttons on the bouquets to the raffia to the adorable combo of both on the vases as they adorn the sweetheart table waiting for the bouquets to do double decor duty.

After the ceremony the little vases in the metal holders hanging from the shepards hooks down the aisle were also relocated to the sweetheart table. There were 18 tables at the wedding each with 3 bouquets for the centerpieces. At the end of the evening almost 60 guests got a fresh bouquet tied with recyclable raffia to take home with them and we picked up the vases to re-use for the future. Jenni was excited that the double use here was both money saving and environmentally friendly.

Carina's wedding at Rancho Las Lomas

Hello blog world Flower Allie is back! I have really missed blogging and am looking forward to sharing lots of the great weddings that I do and also a lot of the great ideas I see out there.

I chose Carina's wedding as my first post because it was one of the weddings I looked most forward to this year. All of the containers were purchased from Jamali Garden. Love Jamali Garden and love the price of this Mercury Glass. Other than the fact that you couldn't put water in them or the mercury would peal off the inside they were great. We solved this problem by cutting many different size paper cups to fit down in and hold the water.
Now I will admit that I am a little over roses but Carina chose a such a unique combo of spray, garden and Equadorian roses in pinks, salmons and corals and it made me fall in love with roses in a whole new way. And I also have to admit that roses and the teatro at RLL go together wonderfully.
